Greg always says, “If the investment is not good enough for my mother, then it’s not good enough for our clients.” His philosophy has always been to elevate fiduciary standards and uphold the responsibility financial professionals have to the American people. He sees people as individuals with real needs and understands that their life is very different from one another. This led him to develop a revolutionary planning tool, “The Retirement Lifebook”, to personally tailor the five most important aspects of retirement: Income, Investments, Taxes, Healthcare, and Legacy.
Greg is a first-generation immigrant from Latvia. He was 9 years old when he came to the US with his mother, Olga, in 1990. They came to this country with less than $500 in their pockets. It was his mother’s determination and hard work that gave him the opportunity to attend schools like Cranbrook and St. Mary’s Prep of Orchard Lake. He’s been a proud Michigander most of his life and knows the hard-working people of this great state.
He attended the University of Detroit Mercy and holds a bachelor’s degree in business and a master’s degree in finance from Walsh College School of Business. His background in education, coupled with over 11 years of experience, provides him with a high degree of knowledge in personal finance.
You can hear Greg give valuable advice in seminars, workshops, and publications. He’s dedicated his time and energy toward assisting individuals and their families with lasting financial guidance. Since 2014, he was the president of Oray Financial, LLC and in 2016 he started Oray King Wealth Advisors, LLC with his partner Madelyn King. Together, they have grown this firm to become one of the most sought-after places in Southeast, MI for honest investment and financial advice.
Outside of work, you can find Greg and his fiancé, Madelyn, out on the golf course or hiking with their two golden retrievers Mac and Charlie. He also enjoys skiing, fishing, racquetball and helping the community through various charities.
